FIFA reveal fan-voted World Cup 2026 dream team

Both made it in after standout tournaments for sides that went further than many expected. Vozinha topped the goalkeeper vote with 39.6% after a string of big performances for Cape Verde in their first World Cup, even though Spain's Unai Simon won the official Golden Glove picked by FIFA's technical group.

The 40-year-old, who was without a club after leaving Portuguese second-tier side Chaves before the tournament, made 7 saves in Cape Verde's 0-0 draw with eventual champions Spain. He also helped drag the side to extra time against Argentina in the last 32.

Haaland was another fan favourite. The Manchester City striker took 27.5% of the vote in the forward line after driving Norway to a first-ever World Cup quarter-final. He scored 7 goals in 5 games, including 2 in the 2-1 win over 5-time champions Brazil in the last 16, before Norway's run ended against England.

The rest of the team is filled with bigger-name regulars. Messi, Mbappe and Jude Bellingham all made the side, with Spain also well represented after winning the tournament.
