Como stun Napoli again as Douvikas seals huge Serie A upset
Como continued their rise with an impressive 2-1 win away to Napoli, stretching their unbeaten Serie A run to 7 matches and picking up their 1st victory of the 2026-27 campaign.
The midweek Champions League draw had already thrown Como into a heavyweight group with Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona and Manchester United. So this trip to Naples offered a different kind of test, one that could show whether they really belong among bigger names now.

Napoli had the first attempt through Mathias Olivera, but it caused no real trouble for Jean Butez. After that, Como quickly took control and began pushing the home side back.
Martin Baturina, who looked sharp all evening, met a low pass from Assane Diao, turned smartly and finished past Alex Meret to put the visitors in front.

Clear chances dried up early on, and the game lost some of the sharpness it had before the break. Olivera probably had Napoli's best opening in that spell, but he failed to make enough of a volley inside the area.
Kevin De Bruyne tried his luck from distance, although Butez likely had it covered if it had stayed on target, and both sides had promising situations that broke down because the final pass or finish was not quite there.
Stanislav Lobotka found the net in the closing minutes and sparked celebrations inside the stadium, only for the goal to be ruled out for offside.
Como saw the rest out and left Naples with all 3 points, extending their unbeaten league record against Napoli to 4 meetings.
For Massimiliano Allegri, it was a first competitive defeat since taking charge in the summer and another worrying number to carry, Napoli have now lost 3 of their last 5 home Serie A matches.
